Manchester City Player Ratings

Ederson – 6/10

Neither team had any saves as both teams had very few chances to shoot on target. Garnacho’s goal was also a close one, similar to Onana, who was unable to build up the ยูฟ่าเบท game from the back.

Rico Lewis – 7/10

He is slowly shedding the star-studded name and was one of City’s most impressive performers in the game.

Manuel Akanji – 7/10

He missed a long ball early in the game but then did well, read the game accurately and scored a penalty to win the game.

Ruben Dias – 5/10

He made a mistake that made Guardiola furious, but he blocked Bruno’s chance to score.

Josko Gvardiol – 5/10

Amad was caught off guard and was burned several times, but things got easier when the Ivorian forward was substituted.

Mateo Kovacic – 7/10

He replaces Rodri’s position quite well, and he can use his strengths to bring the ball from midfield into dangerous areas on many occasions.

Nico O’Reilly – 6/10

Shows that age is no problem for him, handling big games without any embarrassment.

Oscar Bobb – 8/10

He made the United defence turbulent with his dribbling skills and even had a chance to shoot but it went over the bar. However, he made a crucial assist for Bernardo to equalise.

James McAtee – 7/10

He almost scored a goal but unfortunately hit the post. He also created a chance for Bob to shoot.

Jeremy Doku – 6/10

Not afraid at all when facing Dalot. Dribbling is always dangerous, but the final touch is still disappointing.

Erling Haaland – 5/10

It’s incredible that he had zero shooting opportunities in this game, but when it came to penalties, he never missed.

Substitute

Matheus Nunes (on for O’Reilly 63′)  –  5/10  – Was booked just five minutes into the game but still had some dangerous chances with the ball into the box.

Savinho (on for Doku 63′)  –  6/10  – Looked confident in his debut for his new club.

Bernardo Silva (on for McAtee 80′)  –  7/10  – Came on as a super sub and headed home the equaliser to give the visitors a spot-kick but had his own penalty saved.

Kevin De Bruyne (replaced Bobb 90′)  –  N/A  –

Nathan Ake (replaced Guardiola 90′)  –  N/A  –

Manchester United Player Ratings

Andre Onana – 6/10

He didn’t make any saves in normal time and was unable to keep out Bernardo’s header, but he rarely saw any footwork from the back.

Diogo Dalot – 6/10

He was given a lot of time by Doku in the first half, but he calmed down when he was moved to left back in the second half. He has a record of not missing a single penalty out of the five times he has been called upon.

Harry Maguire – 6/10

Surprisingly, he passed the fitness test and started as a regular player, winning almost all the aerial balls, but he could only regain his fitness on the field for less than an hour.

Jonny Evans – 5/10

Reading the game is still good but slowness is a big problem and he is often easily attacked, with a penalty kick that goes over the bar disappointingly.

Lisandro Martinez – 6/10

He was moved to left-back for the first time since his move, and was almost punished for a mishandled pass. He looked much better in the second half, with some aggressive tackling, but was unable to follow through and was headed home by Bobb.

Casemiro – 7/10

Coming and going, he was more involved in the attacking game than the defensive game. He was the one who made the important passes for Ahmad and Rashford to have a chance to finish.

Cobby Menu – 6/10

Easy to play, not too many moments, but still seems to have fitness problems, had to be substituted to make way for the fitter Collyer.

Amad Diallo – 7/10

Poor decision because he should have finished the game himself but chose to pass to Mount, which caused him to lose his rhythm. He had a chance to score the whole time when the ball was at his feet, but he only made a poor decision at the last moment.

Mason Mount – 5/10

Still lacking some things, need to adjust with teammates, especially in the second half, disappeared from the game. It’s not surprising that he was substituted.

Marcus Rashford – 5/10

His pace is a threat to City’s defence and he looked to have scored in the second half but incredibly hit the post.

Bruno Fernandes – 8/10

Had a superb goal denied for offside, was the most impactful player on the team and didn’t miss a penalty kick.

Substitute

Scott McTominay (on for Mount 58′)  –  4/10  – Had a golden chance to score from Rashford’s header but missed.

Alejandro Garnacho (on for Amad 58′)  –  8/10  – Laid the ball out for Rashford but unfortunately hit the post, but played as a super sub and cut in to score the opener.

Toby Collyer (on for Menu 59′)  –  6/10  – Determined and never running out of runs, helping to win the ball which led to Garnacho’s goal.

Facundo Pellistri (on for Maguire 59′)  –  5/10  – Had to play at right-back out of necessity but didn’t do too badly.

Jadon Sancho (on for Rashford 83′)  –  4/10  – Didn’t play a part in the game and missed a penalty.
